Killer Bees

Killer Bees is a truly flexible resource for creating daily classroom quizzes. Suitable for any age, it generates grids of hexagons with either numbers of a specified range. You or your pupils are then at liberty to create your own quiz questions to match the answers. You can even change the answer type half way through the game.

We have given you some suggested games and a set of answers to get you started, but please feel free to be as creative as you wish with this flexible tool. Email us with great uses and we'll make sure we include the ideas in the next version.

The main concept of Killer Bees is to divide the group or class into two teams. The Blue Team has to start at the top and try to get to the bottom to escape the killer bees. They do this by creating a path of blue hexagons from top to bottom. The Red Team has to achieve the same aim, but from left to right.

The main power of this game is the way in which is can be seamlessly differentiated to make sure that learning really is personalised. We have also included a morning work generator as well as a time challenge game to add a little pressure, competition and excitement.
