Silver Hill School

This is a great response in regards to our inset programmes we run throughout the year.

In the last year, I've done 3 Insets in our school, and as a result now the whole school does 'Big Writing', and my new class (who didn't do it last year) are starting to make fabulous progress again. We've purchased 'Big Writing' Games, VCOP games and Story starter TV which the children love!!! Even our year 1s are coming to tell me about WOW words!!

AS part of my AST ICT role, I taught a lesson in another school using the software last week and had fantastic results again! One Y6 boy wrote a brilliant story, a whole side of A4. His TA came to me and said that was the most he'd even written, (usually a few lines, under duress!!) and was the first time she'd seen a smile on his face during lessons ever! This pupil is causing the school lots of problems with his behaviour!!! Another success!
