Anne Glennie

Describing herself as "'Big Writing''s biggest fan", Anne is an outstanding classroom teacher with a passion for improving literacy across the curriculum. Following a successful career in business, Anne followed her lifelong dream of entering the teaching profession. Moving from East Ayrshire to the Isle of Lewis two years ago, Anne has delivered innovative and practical training in 'Big Writing' and Active Literacy across the Western Isles.

More recently, Anne has been instrumental in ensuring that all "'Big Writing'" materials reflect and respond to the aims and purposes of 'Curriculum for Excellence'. As well as delivering conferences and in-service training for Andrell in Scotland, Anne will continue to teach part-time to ensure she remains where she is happiest - at the cutting edge of classroom practice.
